The 1796 Bantry
Under the supervision of proprietors, Paddy and Rose O Donoughue and Christian Barcoe, The 1796 has undergone some very impressive renovation. Attention to detail and the quest for authenticity was a priority in its renovation, and no stone was left unturned in the quest for perfection.
An extensive carvery menu is served daily in the 1796 from 12.30am, and has rightly earned a reputation for culinary excellence. The restaurant is now opened on the first floor and evening meals are served daily until 10.30pm
Weekend entertainment is also provided and has proven to be very popular in the community. With the bar's cosy atmostphere and the friendly service of staff, visitors are easily enticed to spend a pleasant evenings in this fine hostelry.
The 1796 is an oasis of relaxation in the middle of a thriving town and is a haven for the locals and tourists looking to explore the delights of West Cork.
